Installation
Download & Extract
Download the ZIP file and double-click to extract the installer app.
Run the Installer
Open the installer app and follow the on-screen instructions. You may need to enter your admin password.
Enable Input Method
Go to System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources and add FluidType to your input methods.
Start Typing
Switch to FluidType using the menu bar icon or press Ctrl + Space.
System Requirements
- Operating System: macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
- Processor: Intel or Apple Silicon
- Storage: 100 MB available space
- Internet: Not required for core features (optional for AI features)
Frequently Asked Questions
"App is damaged" or "Cannot be opened" error
This can happen with apps downloaded from the internet. The installer automatically removes this restriction. If you still see this error, open Terminal and run:
xattr -cr /Applications/FluidType.appInput method not appearing in System Settings
Try logging out and back in, or restart your Mac. If the issue persists, re-run the installer.
How to uninstall?
Delete the app from /Library/Input Methods/ and restart SystemUIServer:
sudo rm -rf "/Library/Input Methods/FluidType.app"
killall SystemUIServerIs my data safe?
